Gum Lick Trestle is located off of highway 41 and a little more difficult to get to as you will need to walk from the Crossing for about 1/2 mile or so to reach it. There is a safe area to shoot from next to the trestle, but as always keep your wits about you.

How to get there:

From highway 41 turn onto Covered wagon Road just outside Crofton, Kentucky. Take this road to Old Madisonville Road and turn right onto it. Go down to J. Knight Road, turn left and follow the road to the CSX Crossing which is about 2-3 miles. Best place to park is beyond the crossing on either side of the road. From this crossing you'll be able to see Gum Lick Trestle which will be to the south.
