The outside main and inside tracks run parallel in a couple of locations on the layout. Here the Pacific is traveling four times faster than the Shay. The bed of white rock above the log train is from one of the last stores of Mexican fluorite stored in the U.S. during world war two. The material was collected at a local crushing mill now closed and removed. |
