June Meeting on 27th, 2011

Minutes of May meeting approved.

Treasurer’s report read and approved.

Director’s Report: Wallace had no report but plans to have one for the chapter next month.

Old Business: Steve Miller reports he is working out details of our archive photographs.  No other old business.

New Business: Our next Friday Night Live is on for July 8.  The last one on June 10 was a success, with Ricky, Wally, and Thomas attending and providing activities.  The new brochures were distributed.  No date yet for the Crofton Picnic and the Clayton Watts open house.

Show and Tell:  Thomas brought a 1907 Hamilton Railroad watch which he received for his 18th birthday on the 25th of June.  Made five years before the Titanic, it still runs and keeps good time.  Ricky brought in an interesting brass O scale boiler from a locomotive kit, possibly All Nation or Max Gray.  Interesting glasses and other items were also presented.

Announcements: Keith announced details of the L&N Historical Society meeting this Summer.  Thomas Bryan will be attending Rail Camp in Scranton, PA, July 10-15.  He plans to have the July program to report on the activities.

Next Meeting: Monday, July 25, at The Center (former L&N depot).  Thomas Bryan will present the program and Keith Kittinger will provide refreshments.
